Dr. Hassan's journey began with residency training at Hofstra-Zucker Hillside Hospital in NY, followed by forensic training at the University of Pennsylvania. With a compassionate approach, she has dedicated her career to supporting adults facing mental health challenges, including those entangled in the legal system. Dr. Hassan's extensive experience includes providing forensic evaluations and offering second opinions. She has diligently served seriously mentally ill clients within hospital systems and has been a trusted expert witness in legal proceedings across multiple states, including NJ, NY, PA, and Delaware.

Does the doctor accept my insurance?Dr. Hassan is not currently on any insurance panels. However, Superbills are provided after each session for clients to submit to their insurance carrier. Many, if not all, insurance panels reimburse mental health treatment.

Can Dr. Hassan write a letter for me or complete documentation for disability or FMLA?Yes, Dr. Hassan can supply a letter to you and complete documentation. You will most likely need to see Dr. Hassan for at least 3 sessions before she can complete accurate documentation tailored for you.

Does Dr. Hassan prescribe controlled medications?Yes, Dr. Hassan considers various treatment options to provide safe, effective, and personalized care for her clients. At times, this may include controlled medications. Controlled medication prescribing practices comply with Federal Regulations.

Does Dr. Hassan see children or the elderly?Dr. Hassan specializes in adult psychiatry, which includes ages 18 and above.

What is your cancellation policy?We ask that cancellations be made more than 24 hours from your appointment time. You can cancel or reschedule on the patient portal. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.

How do I get in contact with the Dr.?If you are already a client, you may contact the office through the portal. You may email or chat through the portal. For urgent issues, please call the office directly at 201-754-8213. For psychiatric emergencies, call 911, the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988, or go to your local ER.
